I cannot remember a time when athletics was not a part of my life. I have always been an active person, but true fitness was never a priority of mine until the early years of college. While studying Exercise Science at Liberty University I developed a profound respect for God's ingenious design of the human body and became fascinated with what it is capable of. Although improving performance on the field or the court was what initially drew me to fitness, I now believe that fitness has a more profound role than mere athletic performance.

Whether one’s goal is to reach their potential in athletics or to simply change a chronic trend towards poor health, I believe exercise and nutrition is all about stewardship. We have been given a body, a tremendous gift, and now we all must decide how we are going to steward it. We cannot avoid every ailment, injury or diagnosis; but we can use whatever means we have to cultivate a healthy lifestyle that honors the gift we have been given. This is why my prayer is that our urgency in pursuit of physical goals would rise to the urgency of our spiritual condition as well. Let us not value what is temporary above what is eternal. I look forward to continuing in this work, and I am thankful for the privilege I have to walk alongside others in this worthy pursuit!
