Cody Gross

I was blessed to have been raised in both a believing and active household. The importance of feeding and training oneself spiritually and physically was instilled in me at a very young age. Between my mother being a runner and my father being a former bodybuilder and multi-sport athlete, I was exposed to a plethora of sports and other physical activities from the moment I had the coordination and ability to participate. I played a wide variety of sports growing up, including soccer, baseball, basketball, and track. Of recent, my favorite sporting activities include beach volleyball and pickleball. However, I was always a very thin child, which led to the development of self-image issues. I began to lift weights and resistance train during my junior year of high school, and it has been an addiction ever since, helping me to overcome my lack of self-efficacy. Within my own personal training nowadays, I use a combination of CrossFit, mobility, and power training to optimize my ability to perform in both athletics and general daily life.

I graduated summa cum laude from Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2022. I am currently completing the final year of my master’s program at Liberty, with a dual concentration in Clinical Human Performance and Strength and Conditioning, where afterwards I will be pursuing my PhD in Exercise and Sport Science. I am certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and through the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Physiologist.

As a personal trainer and conditioning specialist, I strive for every one of my clients to become the best versions of themselves through intentional, individualized programming. Regardless of training experience, proper technique and adequate mobility are heavily emphasized during every session to ensure safety and lay the groundwork for sustainable progression. I specialize in mobility training and athletic development, and I have a passion to work with athletes of all ages. The overarching goal for each of my clients is that they know I am one of their biggest supporters as they grow physically, mentally, and spiritually (hopefully) during their time with me.
